About Bask Saunas

Basks Saunas offers an outstanding sauna experience nestled in  the trees of Cobleland Campsite. Open to the public and campsite residents alike, this serene retreat invites you to indulge in the rejuvenating benefits of sauna and cold water contrast therapy. Our wood-fired Sauna in a horsebox was skillfully handcrafted using Thermo-Aspen and Alder wood. Find out more about wood choices in our blog.

You can choose to cool down slowly on the decking seated comfortably on our handmade benches or embrace contrast therapy and take the plunge in one of our cold water baths, the choice is yours! Either way you will also be forest bathing since we live in a wooded thicket.

At last Scotland has embraced sauna culture, and no wonder, we have the landscape and climate for it! Moreover, regular sauna sessions can improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, and enhance skin health, while invigorating cold water therapy boosts your immune system and elevates mood.

We invite you to embrace the harmony of heat and cold to refresh your body and mind.We aim to make your experience a revitalizing escape. Come join us to Bask in the glory of one of Scotland most beautiful National Parks, The Trossachs. We will get the fire on.

Meet your host

Hi there! I'm Nicola, your sauna host and the proud founder of Bask Saunas. Before diving into this exciting adventure, I explored a variety of roles in adult physical and mental health services. I kicked off my career in twenties as an outdoor education instructor and most recently worked with a fantastic organization, helping individuals with complex trauma.

On my journey here I have learned much about the mind-body connection. Having worked alongside clinical psychologists for over 6 years some common themes emerged which are proven to enhance both mind and body; Yoga, meditation, breath-work, connecting with others and being out in nature with all her wild elements. It goes without saying, regular sauna usage is also a wonderful activity which has a wealth of physical and mental health benefits. After witnessing the transformative changes in others and myself from using these simple practices regularly I've developed a deep passion for self healing and wellness.

Cold water swimming has been my favourite personal method for overcoming challenges, and I can't wait to share the incredible therapeutic benefits of cold water and heat with you. I hope you will also be inspired by the healing power of nature when you come to Bask.

Water ripple effect

Gorgeous sauna in beautiful surroundings. The sauna itself was ideal - new wood aromas, perfect temperature (which we could control with water) and very peaceful. The cold dip baths we took twice within the hour mixed with the heat of the sauna left us feeling soothed and relaxed for the rest of the day. The sauna is in a woodland glade, with decking surround, set well back from the campsite and was surrounded by bluebells and birds singing and the host, Nicola is kind and welcoming. The whole experience was fantastic . Would highly recommend.

An absolute delight! We loved the sauna and cold experience. The gorgeous sauna is nestled in the trees and Nicola the host is so friendly, knowledgeable and looks after you so well.  Such a wonderful way to relax and unwind after a day in the hills. Thank you! Such a great addition to the lovely campsite - we will be back.

The sauna was amazing - even the wood used for the bench was much nicer to sit on than others I've visited. Cooling down under the trees was blissful. The host was lovely and clearly very passionate about what she does. She was great at talking through everything with those less experienced in trying this too. I left feeling blissful and totally chilled out. An absolute treat!

My friends and I visited Bask Sauna yesterday not full knowing what to expect. Nicola very kindly explained everything to us from start to finish and we have left in anticipation of our next visit. We were a little hesitant about the cold bath plunge but we were so glad we did, what an experience!!!! I would highly recommend everyone to try it at least once. I know we will all return.
